The laws that govern the universe. Symbolism of the Bhagavad Gita.  Overcoming limits, surpassing ourselves.
  9. ROMAN PHILOSOPHY: THE STOICS
The philosophers' contribution to society. Practical wisdom from Seneca, Epictetus and the emperor Marcus Aurelius. The heroic sense before destiny. The Citizen of the world.
4. TIBETAN WISDOM 
The Voice of the Silence. Finding truth within us, sounding the heart.
  10. PHILOSOPHY AND THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY

5. BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY
The Four Noble Truths. Concentration and inner harmony. The liberation from pain and suffering.
  11. THE HUMAN BEING AND THE CYCLES  OF LIFE 
The interconnectedness of all things. Sacred places and sacred times. Seasons and how to be in tune with them.
6. THE ORIENT AND THE PHILOSOPHY OF CONFUCIUS

Course date:

Tuesday evenings beginning June 5th, 2007
 

Class time
Each class, given once a week for 12 weeks, has a duration of two hours including time for discussion. Classes begin at 7:00 p.m.

Location
Courses are held at the 596 MacLaren Street near Bay street.
Free parking is available on the street after 7 p.m.
OC Transpo bus route #2 stops one block away at Somerset and Lyon intersection.

Course fees
Regular fee for the full course: $240
Students (age 25 or less): $120
 

Refund policy
For any withdrawal in the first three weeks, there is a prorated refund, less a $30 administration fee.
For any withdrawal from the course after the first three weeks, no refund is possible.
